Sharing Multiple Folders

Posted by: grumpyboy  //  Category: networking

There are a few different ways that you can share folders. You can do so through Windows Explorer and or you can share folders from the command prompt. However, when it comes to sharing multiple folders, there is a way of making just a little bit faster.

Instead of sharing all your folders through Windows Explorer, click Start, click run, type shrpubw.exe, and click OK. A little dialog box called Create Shared Folder will appear. Type in the folder you want to share or use the Browse button to locate it. Type in a share name and optional share description then click Next. From the next dialog box you can set the appropriate permissions for the folder. Once you are done you can click Finish and then click Yes to repeat the process and create another shared folder.
